Sinopse:
Dragon Ball é um mangá japonês criado por Akira Toriyama e publicado em 42 volumes, inicialmente na revista Shonen Jump, de 1984 até 1995. O mangá deu origem a três séries de anime que tiveram um enorme sucesso, tanto no Japão como no resto do mundo: Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z e ainda Dragon Ball GT, uma terceira série cuja história não se baseia no mangá. Vários filmes também foram criados, assim como rumores falsos de Dragon Ball AF. No total das três séries, os episódios ultrapassam 500, chegando na marca dos 508.
Pegando elementos da mitologia japonesa, Akira criou um mundo fantasioso, com lutas espetaculares, poderes, dinossauros e qualquer coisa que sua imaginação permitisse. Tudo começa com um pequeno garoto com rabo de macaco, Son Goku (nome retirado da lenda), que parte com a Bulma atrás das Esferas do Dragão (Dragon Balls) que pode realizar qualquer tipo de desejo. A história segue com lutas, aventuras, tramas e vilões surpreendentes.
